(to the christians who believe in God and who are saved) if you actually do ur history u wud no that in Egypt, they used to pierce Hebrews to show that they owned u. Also if u read Genesis, when Cain killed Abel, God marked him to show other people that he was punished for his crime so that nobody wud kill or harm him. and if u read Deuteronomy 15:12-17 (KJV) it tells us how piercing is a sign of slavery, ‘And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee. For goodness sake, read revelation. The mark of the beast will not come until the beast (the antichrist) has appeared. Tattoo’s and piercings are obviously not the mark of the beast, as people still trade with them. Read you bible, study it (look at it in context and in the light of the modern times) and then spread the word. If it is not in the bible, then don’t say it is. There are way too many pressing issues in this world to worry about tatts. What about people raping and killing women and children? Tatts are a personal expression not a social expression, the difference between those who have them and those who don’t is the people with tatts don’t care if someone don’t have any, so why do those without care so much if we do have them. As far as people with tatts being ignorant, that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, just cause I have tatts makes me ignorant? Why? Is it cause I don’t believe in the same way that they may, so I guess that because they don’t have any makes them so much more intelligent. That statement in itself is ignorant alone so, those who make that statement just proved their ignorance. And people who will not hire someone who has tatts is just very judgmental and probably are not a very desirable employer anyways, those are the types of bosses who screw over their employees anyways.

dude seriously who makes these posts anyway? Now these ‘hard out’ Christians preach to us ‘sinners’ about how unholy we are being by “mutilating” our bodies, but really, if tattoos and piercings are all part of the devil, and it makes us sinners, then how come the full Christians of the modern day are allowed to lie and still be forgiven by God?

im a christian and am very involved in church. i have been pondering to myself whether i should get a tattoo mostly for expression of self. as a christian i understand that expression on ones self is selfish in the daily walk of a christian cause when you give your life to the lord you are no longer in control of your own life cause you live for christ who lives through you it is then that you soon lose your desires and live for his. I know i am right. i still cant get past the fact that i want a tattoo. the last time i checked , a relationship with christ is personal seeing as you cant find salvation through any other person. your relationship with christ is vertical and yes we are connected to our brothers in christ through faith and spirit. but guess what they cannot give you the keys to eternal life like jesus can, therefore i say again it is a personal relationship with christ. i aint worried about the world. no matter how much we try to be perfect we wont be and i know the regardles of me gettin a tattopo or not, god will love me as i am becaus ejesus did not die in vain. if he did he would have gotten off that cross. but guess what he didnt cause he was thinkin of you and me and everyone else who wishes to seek him. oh smart one and (Leviticus 19:18) was written in the old testament beofre jesus came and died for our sins, when ppl still had to make sacrifices to please God. wow! its pretty funny to hear that tattoos and piercings are satan because i kno ALOT of preachers that have crosses tattooed on them and i also know PLENTY of preacher’s wives who have ear piercings but i guess they are not real preachers right? bcuz piercings and tattoos are satan

I was raised baptist, and now as an adult, I do not consider myself any religion. I feel that I have good morals and values, I help people and am considerate and loving and live my life without killing people or doing drugs. I have 2 tattoos and my ears peirced and my upper ear peirced. To me, these people are just extreme people reading too much into what the bible says, because I know that i have been a good person and my tattoos have nothing to do with that. Being a good person is all that matters I think…

I believe the word of God from cover to cover, but we must remember that we who believe in Jesus as our savior. We are under the new covenant which is Jesus Christ. He died as our sacrifice for our sins. the bible is 100% Gods word, no doubt. Leviticus is when the ppl were living by the old covenant before Jesus had come to die for the sins of the world. I have tattoos that have things to do with the bible. there excellent witnessing tools. how could satan use a tattoo if its bringing Glory to God. thats no where near what satan wants. He wants everything God doesnt want. the word says that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.. tattoos, lies, Jesus said if you look at a woman or a man with lust for them. we have committed adultery in our hearts , or if we have hate towards someone , we have murdered them in our hearts. we are all sinners . tattoos should not have there own place set aside for ppl to say ppl with tats are going to hell. we all sin, But Jesus died for all sin. God cares nothing for the outside body. he works with the heart.

Are u sure Christ wi happy being in that tatoed body? wy do we fight so much to have those things on us? For nothing just happens it’s either we do it to please Christ or the world of darkness. There are things we do whist suppresing our concience and defending the satanification of our bodies is one. Christ is particular about each and every detail of His member and requires us top enter into fruitful and kingdom-fit issues. Are we serious that we claim to be Christians and entertain tatoos on the body of Christ? If we can’t resist such very resistable vanity what shall we do when the going gets tougher? Wy a tatoo on the body of a christian in the first place? Belitling the death of Christ in this manner isn’t right. Let us choose whom we want to serve Christ or the devil. To have a tatoo and feel like serving Christ! Let’s be serious guys. What do u think the devil will be doing when u’re celebrating that mark? obviously celebrating with you, because he would say to God “you can’t claim these ones because you never created them. They are products of my recreative power. Check their bodies and see if you ever created one like that.” The time is nigh for those who stand for God to show themselves up. Keep yourseves clean and pure both inside and outside for His cause. For if you cant use a cup that’s clean inside but smeared with faecal matter outside. How do you expect God to stay in a body that’s claimed to be Holy only inside. After all having tatoos is a mater that involves blood.And when blood is involved there is a sacrifice. And to whom is that sacrifice done. The devil wil not feel ashmed to claim it. You are the temple of the Lord run away from these things and stay safe. I have a celtic cross tattoo with a rose in the centre and a raven sitting on the cross. I really dont think i am going to be sent to hell for that! I dont doubt that hell exsists however i do question what qualifies a person to be sent there. Fear has always been the best means to control people.

I am a very devoted man following God passionately and as best i can spending hours in the word and prayer a day. I have no tattoos or piercings i am debating both as a testimony to my life the piercing in accordance to Deuteronomy. The tattoo a representation of my testimony and new found life as i find it more and more everyday. But one thing i would love to bring up is the context you are reading in mainly piercings and tattoos in the old testament were done in idolization in the sense to other God’s. I have seen people save because of new believers tattoos and piercings. I would also like to take you to Revelation 19:16… Don’t read the NLT unless u have the study and star leading you below to tell u the actual translation. Secondly if the tattoos and piercings are so bad then we also need to look at the old testament (where people find that tattoos and piercings are wrong) then men by shaving u have sinned and women by walking into the church without your head covered you are sinning (also in the new testament) women do you wear earrings men do your wives sisters or dearly beloveds have earrings??? I’m done now hopefully those of you who care about this subject read this and test it for yourselves i also hope to see people care more for souls than their own personal convictions causing divisions between your brothers and sisters because of your unnecessary ideas and opinions or theology is directly the reason the church is broken and God is becoming less and less known to a world that truly needs him.
